Review and New is a site created and run by me (who am I? ) with two goals, as the name implies.  The first, lesser goal is to review other people’s works.  I review books I have read and movies I have seen.  I don’t review every book and movie I read/see, and lately I have been worse about writing reviews.  So there aren’t a lot of new review being posted, but I try to do one occasionally.  When I write a review, I do so after a single reading/viewing, so there is a chance I miss something or my opinion changes upon a second reading/viewing.  I don’t want to keep people away from other artists, so, with few exceptions, I urge you to read the book or watch the movie and form your own opinions, regardless of what I think.

The second and main reason I created this website is to showcase my own writing.  My attention is primarily on the novels I am writing, but I can’t focus on just one story, so I write some shorter stories as well as poems that I post here.  I have never been much of a poet, but sometimes I just feel the need to write one.  Every one of the stories I write and post here take place in the same universe.  My favorite part of writing is the worldbuilding, so I have created a single massive universe and these stories are the stories of that world.  I have three categories of stories right now.  The one I am mostly working on is called the Shadow War.  The Shadow War is a single story told in smaller, out of order increments.  The next category is rather a lack of.  The only other category currently listed under the Short Stories header is “Other Stories.”  That’s exactly as it sounds, any other story that does not fit into the other categories.  The third category is not exactly short stories, but rather a serial fiction.  The Drescation Tales is a story added to every two weeks.  Or it was.  It is on indefinite hold.  I became disinterested in the story and reached a point I had no plan for, so I was writing blindly with no heart.  I have gone back and revamped the story, creating a better plan and a richer world. I am in the process of writing it now and should be posting installments again soon.  Every bit of writing posted on here is written and edited by me.  No professionals have gone over it, so forgive me any mistakes I may have missed.  I always welcome feedback on my works, so feel free to leave a comment.

There is also a blog called The Maverick Muse.  I use it to talk about my own opinions on all things writing.  You could say it is more of a zzlog as I don’t write very many posts.  When I do write a post, I try to put in a lot of effort and get across my opinion fully.
