Pretty good. I loved the last one and was very excited for this. I can’t comment based on the original movies as I have only seen the first one and that was a few years ago. So not knowing much about those, I can say this film was good on its own. The special effects were amazing, the apes seemed very real. Not only did they look real, but they felt like their personalities and mannerisms were real and almost human, as was the intention. You felt as attached to the ape characters as you did to the human characters. They did a very good job with this which I can’t imagine was easy. The story was good as well, you felt invested in it and wanted the right things to happen. A lot of it was predictable, but there were one or two surprises. All around I enjoyed it and definitely recommend it.
