Not the greatest movie in the world, but pretty good. It was a little bit slow at times and surprisingly low on real action in my opinion. There was also a surprising lack of Godzilla. The story was not focused around the beast, as the name suggests. While that was a bit of a shock, I don’t think it took away from the film. The story was pretty good, and had more depth than an all-out destruction film like I was expecting. Having never seen a Godzilla movie before (yes, I am ashamed) I can’t compare this new one to its predecessors. Not really much else to say, the acting and filmography were exceptionally bad nor good, though the special effects for Godzilla and friends was pretty good, as was expected. While it wasn’t top of my list, it was definitely worth the trip.
